A fantastic adventure for the entire family, these two-person railbikes are pedal-powered with an electric assist that allows you to sit back, relax, and pedal with ease as you take in the stunning views around you.

Your adventure begins with a guided tour through the lush citrus and avocado groves of Ventura County. Make a pit stop at Prancer's Farm, where you can handpick fresh produce and meet some amicable farm animals. Meander at your own pace towards Fillmore before returning to the historic Santa Paula Train Depot, creating unforgettable memories along the way.

The track was constructed in 1887 by the Southern Pacific Railroad and was a part of the main line running between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Over the years millions of riders have experienced the beauty of the Santa Clara River Valley, Hollywood has used this span of rail as a scenic backdrop, and generations have fallen in love with trains.

The track was used extensively by Southern Pacific as late as the 1950s to haul citrus from packing houses at the communities along the Santa Clara River.

Today Sunburst brings back the romance to this storied line and takes guests into a new millennium with the introduction of these unique railbikes.

Where does the tour depart from?

Located just off Highway 126, about 60 miles outside Los Angeles, the railroad bikes tour departs from the Santa Paula Depot at 200 North 10th Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060.

Is parking free?

There's free street parking available on both the north and south sides of the depot (E. Santa Barbara and Railroad Avenues). There is also a large gravel lot for RVs on the northeast corner of 10th and Railroad, kitty-corner to the depot.

When to arrive?

Please arrive approximately 15 to 30 minutes ahead of your scheduled departure time.

Are there restrooms along the way?

Yes, the stops include a restroom on site.

Can we bring outside food and drinks?

Yes, the railbikes have a basket that allows you to pack a lunch and bring it on the ride. Please note that outside alcohol is not permitted on the ride.

What should I wear?

Please wear weather-appropriate, comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes required for the ride. Sandals and flip-flops will not be permitted.

What should I bring?
